Summary: Vital Ground provided a grant to The Nature Conservancy of Montana to protect essential grizzly bear habitat along Montana's spectacular Rocky Mountain Front. The ranch anchors the southern end of the Front and stretches westward to the Continental Divide near Roger's Pass. It includes nearly three miles of lush riparian habitat along the Middle Fork of the Dearborn River and Hargrove Creek, important for travel, forage, and security of grizzly bears.
