Summary: Vital Ground helped fund the acquisition of two private inholdings within Wood Tikchik State Park through its partner, The Conservation Fund (TCF). This second acquisition, 110 acres on the shoreline of Lake Nerka, protects the lakefront property from development and helps conserve the wilderness character of the area for wildlife. The lands were deeded to the state park, securing them for wildlife and public recreation.
