Make a Memorial Gift

At Vital Ground, memorial gifts are made in remembrance of someone who has passed away. You can memorialize a family member or a friend through an honorary gift, gift fund or memorial in support of Vital Ground’s mission to conserve habitat for grizzly bears and other wildlife.

Curt Baughman
Curt Baughman was a tremendous supporter of wildlife and Vital Ground, spending more than 30 years as a biologist for the state of Nevada.

This spring, Vital Ground and the wildlife conservation community lost a valued member when Curtis Baughman passed away. Curt was a loving father and career biologist for the state of Nevada. For over 30 years as a public servant, he dedicated his life to conserving wildlife populations, protecting wildlife habitat, promoting notions of fair chase, and defending public access to hunting and fishing opportunities.

Curt’s duties were broad and personally fulfilling, ranging from rearing trout to trapping and transplanting Rocky Mountain elk. He valued working in one of the country’s most biologically diverse states where access to intact, interconnected habitat is reflected in the quality of its wildlife populations.

It’s no surprise, then, that Curt personally supported the mission of Vital Ground for 10 years, and mentioned it as a cause he would like folks to consider donating to in his memory. His family is honored that you are considering a donation in Curt’s name, and they figure he is, too.

If preferred, you can mail your contribution along with a note of explanation. Send to: The Vital Ground Foundation, 30 Fort Missoula Rd., Missoula, MT 59804.
