Collaborative conservation: for grizzlies, people and all things wild.
For nearly three decades, The Vital Ground Foundation has funded projects that protect grizzly habitat and prevent conflicts between bears and people. From conserving crucial chunks of private land on Kodiak Island to retiring conflict-prone grazing leases outside Yellowstone, our partner grants support tangible outcomes that connect and protect grizzly bears.
Vital Ground offers grants to nonprofit or governmental entities whose missions complement ours. We typically call for grant proposals once or twice per year and award 5-10 grants of $10,000 or less.
We are currently accepting grant applications for 2022 Conservation Partner Grants. Applications will be accepted until March 31, 2022. The guidelines and priority areas below include application instructions.
