Missoula Parks & Recreation PROJECT BRIEF

As people continue to flock to big sky country, there are more and more feet on the trails — including some who have never recreated in grizzly country before. Our new partnership with the Missoula Parks & Recreation Department produced educational signage that was posted in busy recreation areas near town and installed 16 bear-resistant garbage containers.

As we welcome newcomers, hyperlocal bear-aware efforts are an increasingly important step to ensuring the attractive and abundant wide-open spaces of the Missoula valley stay safe for both wildlife and people.
