Did you know that Vital Ground is one of 411 land trusts accredited by The Land Trust Accreditation Commission? This national review process helps ensure our conservation work is meeting the highest possible standards, and it’s time to apply for renewal.¬† As someone familiar with Vital Ground and interested in land conservation, you are welcome to comment on our pending application.

The Land Trust Accreditation Commission is supported by the Land Trust Alliance, a national organization that writes the Land Trust Standards and Practices¬†used in the accreditation process. Renewal of Vital Ground’s accreditation will foster continued implementation of those barometers for conservation excellence, which reflect evolving best practices in the field, confirm compliance with current accreditation indicators and program requirements, verify action on expectations for improvement, and identify and evaluate major changes to the land trust.

If you have comments on Vital Ground’s renewal, please contact the Land Trust Accreditation Commission at 518-587-3143 or write to: Land Trust Accreditation Commission, 36 Phila Street, Suite 2, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. You can also contact them through their website.

Thank you for your support of Vital Ground’s continuing commitment to high-quality land conservation!
