
Melanie Seus earned her master’s degree in English from the University of California, San Diego, and has worked as a resource development professional with nonprofits for more than a decade. She joined the Grand Canyon Trust in 2019 where her work focuses on conservation across the Colorado Plateau. She became involved with The Vital Ground Foundation in 2008 after becoming part of the Seus family. As an advisor, she is thrilled to use her professional skills to protect the grizzly bear habitat that is also critical to so many important species and to the overall health of our planet. Melanie lives in Heber City, Utah, with her husband, Jed, and their two young sons. In her free time, she can be found mountain biking, snowboarding, and exploring open spaces with her family.
