Shannon has enjoyed wild lands and wild things for as long as she can remember. As a child, she was taught to appreciate the wonders of the West while going on grand adventures with her family. As an adult, protecting the last beautiful and undeveloped landscapes she loves took on a whole new importance. She joined the Vital Ground staff in 2005, recognizing the importance of the mission and vision and quickly becoming a natural fit.
Shannon lives north of Missoula with her husband, Russ, and a couple of fuzzy critters. She loves spending time with her family and continues her explorations of wild places as often as she is able.
